A house that keeps its warmth
Mountain guesthouse in the hamlet of Saint-Dalmas, at 1,300 m — 24 beds, half board and table d'hôtes dinners.
The house
The house
The gîte is housed in a large building in the hamlet of Saint-Dalmas, on the Valdeblore plateau. The ground floor features a common room with a wood-burning stove, while the upper floor offers 8 bedrooms and 2 dormitories, providing a total of 24 beds.
With a secure bike storage area (including a water point), a room for boots and packs, and facilities for drying gear, the house is designed for those who spend their days outdoors—and their evenings staying warm and cozy.
Outside
The garden, facing the ridges
The garden is where the stay slows down. Sun decks, armchairs, chairs and low tables: you settle in with a book, in the sun or the shade depending on the hour, and watch the mountains change colour while dinner is being made.
The view does the rest. It is a clear 360°: the whole range, the surrounding peaks, and the village below. At 1,300 m the air stays dry and the evenings cool off — mountain warmth, never heavy.
After a day on the trail, an hour spent out there doing nothing beats any remedy, and it is usually there that legs agree to set off again tomorrow.
The yoga sessions happen on those same sun decks — doing nothing even has its own page.
The table
The table d'hôtes
Half-board stay featuring a hearty breakfast before setting off and a table d'hôtes dinner in the evening—home-style cooking, regional and organic products, and homemade desserts.
Picnic baskets for your hikes can be prepared upon request.
